Hi Karl!

As a matter of fact, well yes, I have and do use deadflat regularly...actually, I'm currently in the process of writing up a feature story with step-by-step photo's on the uses of RUSTALL, the process, hints, and some little known techniques...deadflat is a water based matte varnish, and I have used it over all types of paints, with equal success...it can be used with the RUSTALL system or alone. One of the best products for making rubber tires look "right" is deadflat, takes a few coats to look good, though. Keep your eyes out for the article, Karl, I should have it done shortly..experiment with the products, you will have some pleasing results!

Hi Mark,

A good, truly clear flat has eluded me forever. Have you used this product on figures, by any chance? I've tried just about everything, and it either ISN'T flat or leaves the dreaded whitish haze on evrything.

Will your article address things like figures?

Regards,
Barry

Hi Barry!
Sorry for not answering sooner, mate, I've been swamped!!! To answer your question, DEADFLAT or DULLCOTE (same product) is NOT a true clear flat! And yes, I have used this on figures before, and it works GREAT for "toning down" uniforms...the more coats that you apply, the more shade variances you will get...it's a very subtle (as all the RUSTALL products are) flat, and completely user controlled. Try it out!

Duly noted, as always, Vin...Sorry if I sounded too presumptuos.
