bare metal foil,why so dare?

hey

i looked on the LHS website for bare metal foil 'chrome' because i want it on had and for doing model cars. i did a search and it came up for $20.00 bucks,is there another way to get it cheap or make/paint it,because i want a true colour chrome.

Hi Matt

Bare Metal Foil is a great product and extremely useful but it is not cheap especially with our falling NZ Dollar.

Tamiya do a acrylic Chrome paint which looks pretty bright etc but its not as good as the texture and feel of Bare Metal Foil.
