I have a compressor with no tank is it possiable to some how connect one on?

Mike,
It should be possible. The dificulty lies in the type of compessor.
Idealy the tank will have 2 holes (1 in & 1 out ).
Compressor-------Check valve---------Tank--------Regulator---
That pattern will work for a single hole tank as well........
