I am looking to find decals for a South African AT-6 Harvard, my Father recently visited South Africa and went for a fly in one, the experience has left a mark and I wanted to build this model for him as a Fathers day Present.
Any Ideas where I could find some 1:48 by the way.
Cheers guys

Rob, that photo brings back memories from my youth, it looks as if it was taken on the apron at CFS Dunnottar, we stayed about 10 miles from the base.
Kits at war / Dutch decals made a 1/48 set that included markings for 7458. Unfortunately it’s OOP at the moment.

Thanks for that Eric, looks like I will have to use the Zolts roundels of the world ,paint the number plaquard and try to find a decal sheet with close enough black numerals.

Hi Rob,
Check out MDF Models. He keeps some SAAF decals, else he will be able to source some for you... the easiest is probably to drop George an email (addie available on site)
BTW that Harvard would make a wonderful addition to the SiyaAfrika campaign ..... hint, hint

I have emailed him and will see how it goes and let you know.
I will endevour to get the model finished for the SiyaAfrika campaign, but at the speed I build it is unlikely .
Thanks for the info

Rob before you spend 14 odd pounds on the Zotz set, Kits at war / Dutch decals make SAAF Castles. IIRC they are about £5 or so.

I could actually get most of the decals to you for that build up (I lived in south africa a couple years ago and bought several locally produced decal sheets while there), but the sheet i have with the Harvard markings has the roundels with the orange springbuck in profile instead of the 5 pointed antelope head castles - which you'll have to get off another sheet.
it has the markings for aircraft number 7458 in the exact pattern you showed a picture of, except for that difference in roundels.
PM me if you are interested.
