I use it alot, absolutely love the stuff. Recommend it to anyone wanting to recreate "real" rust, than this is the way to go.

Has anyone else had a problem when using it over acrylics? I used it on several models with never a problem, but then the last time I used it it took the paint off. In all cases, acrylics were used and the Rustall was applied directly over them.

Yes, I have the same problem.
Since it is alcohol based, it will strip off unprotected acrylic paint, so you have to coat it first - unfortunally.

There is also another excellent product available in the United kingdom, which has been popular with railway modellers, that I use called Scenic Rust which is available from deluxematerials.com and is used in a similar fashion producing great results.
