My sister will be taking on a new job in Memphis , TN sometime this summer. She is trying to convince me to come too. Anyone from the "club" reside there? Any good shops? Are there any model-shows events that occur in the area throughout the year.

Yes! There are a couple of shops here in Memphis. There is pretty good size shop, that is locally owned. We have a IPMS Chapter, that meets monthly. The club just hosted the annual show in Feb. You also have several Hobby Lobbies along with the Hobby Shops....You can shoot me a PM for more details....
