are there any GOOD aibrushes and compressors that sell either together or seperately for under $25??
cuz my parents are looking at getting a condo and I have a strict model budget now so would the testors multi purpose sprayer from hobby lobby work as an airbrush for painting armor kits?

Quick answer. No.
The least expensive usable airbrush ifs the Paasche H that sells in the $40 range. Compressors that will be at all reliable are in the hundred dollar range.

I think it should but looking at the kit its meant for on there aircans so you will probably need to get one of there adapters if you want to hook it to a compressor.
Also if your unable to get a compressor for it right away you could run it of aircans.
As for the brush itself I’ve never seen that one before so I can’t help you with that.

Cans of propellant like the one included in your Ebay link kit. They take the place of an air compressor.

Luck I’ve never used those ether. But they look like there basically the same as the 1st one you showed us. I really don’t know the deferens between an Airbrush and a spray gun so I can’t comment.
Try looking for an Aztec model S1000 (may be S100 I’m not positive)
I got mine at an Art Store in an Airbrush by number kit for about $40 but it came with a video, knife, paint, canvass and masking sheets as well as one tip (it uses the deferent colored tips sold by Aztec)
You should be able to find one alone for far cheaper. It works great for everything I have tryed using it for and its very low maintenance.
The aircans are testors cans of air. You hook the hose to the top of the can and spray away. They just don’t last very long for the price.

Hi Luke,
Just remember that a compressor is incredibly noisy!

what is propellant as the spraygun doesn't include the propellant or is that the aircan?

Yes the aircan is the Propellent. On the Ebay link you can see a picture of one on the box but none are being sold with the kit.

Luke, you really should look at a real airbrush and compressor. Those $15 jobbies are only good for doing grainy one color paint jobs. Been there, done that. They are not worth the money. Propellant air cans are compressed air, not refillable and super frustrating. They loose pressure quickly, the cans freeze up aa the compressed air leaves (the same pricipal as your refrigerator. I once used a whole can on a small 1/72 airplane. And they're expensize for the amount of use they provide.
DO yourself a big favor. Save your money, put it in a jar, whatever, until you can get a real airbrush and compressor.
If sound is an issue, Micro Mark has this one
for $200. I saw a demo of htis and it really is silent. The guy in the club who brought it in said he would use it after his newborn went to bed and it didn't disturb her.
This
is the Paasche H i mentioned earlier. Paasche is listing it at $46 (just $6 more than I paid for mine in 1982) and I'm sure you could find it less at a good online air brush specialist.

so in other words nothing above $29

Luke, the only thing I can think of to get somthing that cheaply is to see if a T-shirt guy has an old airbrush he doesn't use and is willing to part with. Remember this: With Airbrushes and Compressors you get EXACTLY what you pay for. The advice above to save your pennies was a good one.

Nether of the above Ebay deals is the S1000 but the top one (A470) is a good one. Much better then the S1000. The kit has about everything you would need except the compressor.

The cheapest solution for air supply would be a car tyre. All you need is an adaptor piece for the airbrush and a solid foot pump - I´m sure you can get those for less than 25$. When I was a poor kid that was my only source of compressed air, but of course I had to perform hard pumping work first - but that source was free and unlimited. I also was lucky that my dad had two sets of tyres - one for winter and one for summer - so the air supply would last reasonably long with four fully inflated tyres.
However I don´t know if those adaptors are still sold nowadays.

I went to wal-mart today to buy some more model cement and a thing of acrylic paint from testors and I discovered that wal-mart has the spraygun airbrush for
only $20 bucks and has the thing that I can hook it up to a compressor with so I'm saving up to buy one now and now I need to find a compressor

Harbor Freight is selling one for $50.00. I've had one for about 18 months and it has run fine. I don' t know if you have one in your area, but they do have an online store. Here is the link: Harbor Freight
I know it's over your spending limit, but it's better than using cans of air.
