Ive seen a few helos tied down like that for test runs. The trade school I went to had a helo mechanics course..

I vote for the stress test. Why else would there be a stationary camera focused on the rear of the helo? It didn't move as the tail rotor tower came towards it.
Ususlly when someone gets an "Ah s@#$ shot", its hand held, wobbly, in and out of focus and has the camera operators comments. And a mad dash for cover as parts start flying.
