Hi all,

I'll be starting a beastie (in the words of BARV ) in a few weeks time and should like to add a few extra details... like bolts and rivets...

My question to all you armour folks is how do I make hexagonal rivets and bolts? Economic conditions (aka SWMBO :-) ) dictate that I can't buy any cool toys, like that riveting jobbie from the SmallShopEU, for this exercise. :-) So I have to do this "old school"...

Please bear in mind that I'm a figure guy, and I haven't really built anything other than figgies in about a decade, and never detailed anything like this before either...

TIA

Rudi

p.s. I suppose I should mention I'm going to be building the Emhar 1/35 Whippet, supplimented with the Airwaves PE set...

I just use hex rod and cut it to the thickness I want. Either that or Grandt line nuts and rivits.

cheers

You can also try a company callled plastruc. They sell hex rods in several sizes. Very cheap too. It's a lot like the evergreen stuff.
