Well, the IPMS National convention is being held across the state at Kansas City. I know many folks here are envious in your location. This link will show you what IPMS chapters are in your region and when the local model shows are: http://www.ipmsusa.org/. There is a local St. Louis chapter listed: http://www.ipms-stlouis.org/, click on the events link and you will see nearby events.

William,
Sabot beat me to it.
We've several terrific hobby stores here in the STL/St. Charles area. Some of them hold a contest or two.
Use Google, click local, enter hobby shops and your zip code or locale. It'll give you addresses, phone numbers and even a map.
Luck.

Bill,
St. Louis actually has 2 IPMS groups. IIRC Gateway meets north of town on a weekday night. Check with Chris Mersell at CRM hobbies (see Modeling Madness). This is a SERIOUS group of modelers and they tend to have mini contests every meeting. I don't know when / if their show is.
The other group, St. Louis, meets in Creve Couer (sp?) on a weeknight. They're much more relaxed.
Check out the IPMS website for more details.
Mark, who left St. Louis, Missery back in '03.

I will be in the St. Louis area next month. Does VLS have a showroom, or is it a warehouse only? Can anyone recommend any plastics-oriented shops in the area?
