I have just recieved 25 copies of MIG'S F.A.Q. book with all of his tips and tricks regards painting, wheathering, finishing and many other aspects of modelling that he has been frequently asked over the years.

It does not cover how to convert this model to this different version with scratchbuilding. Thats not what he wanted. I have brought in a whole lot of Euromodellisimo's books (Applied modelling - Aircraft/Armour). these books cover scratchbuilding in detail.

I find MIG's book and the Euromodilisimo's books to be rather complementory.

I have gotten MIG (Miguel Jimenez) to autograph each of the 25 books that I got :-) . Which I think is a nice small additional feature.

I have unfortunitly not costed them yet, however should anyone be interested, please contact me on 082 851-4708 or E-mail me at: info(at)kingtigermodelling.co.za.

Cheers

Hi Guys,

I will only have pricing on the F.A.Q. book later this week. Will mail you as soon as I have it.

Tappie, I have been trying to get out to you guys for a while now. I have been talking to Dennis and yesterday he told me that you guys are having a meeting this Saturday (4th). He wanted to check with you if the meeting is still on and if I can come through.

I would like to do a small demo on MIG Pigments, bring the F.A.Q. book as well as some other books through and get to meet and chat with all you guys.

I believe you guys are also going to do some shooting too. That could be fun to watch

I would also like to see Dennis's completed MIG Bronekrator boat, he tells me that it has come out very nicely and was a lot of fun to build!

Cheers

Dear Theo,

Thanks for you positive comments on MIG's FAQ book.

I had a long talk with MIG 2 days ago about my impressions of his book. Most were positve, however it could have done with a little more "polishing" in one or 2 areas.

That said, of all the modelling books that I have got, I will most certainly learn the most from the FAQ book!! :-)

I in fact was in Spain last year with MIG and helped him and Adam Wilder a little with the book. They also used me as a model in the book.

I'm the guy on page 33 and 34 in the green/brown shirt with orange piping and the number "66" on it.

So I am a little more "attached" to the book then most people.

Once again thanks for your input!

Cheers

Thanks for the visit Matthew, pity we couldn't make it longer.

The FAQ book is great, I'll reccommend it to anyone who is serious about the hobby. Can't put it down.

I have to get my butt in gear and build some armour again :-)

The book is worth every cent. Thanks again.
