what's the best way to prime assembled models with the Tamiya White Primer?
From what I thought was a lightly sprayed layer turned out to be quite thick when it's still wet. From previous posts, I remember reading that it should be a thin layer. What's the proper way to use this?

thanks
Alan

Hi Alan,

I think you just spray several coats of thin layers on the kit will be okay. Don't do it too thick.

Are you using the CAN SPRAY or an Airbrush? Either way, if it is too thick then back up... with a Can, I get about 12-14 inches away... with an airbrush, I push about 25PSI about 8 inches away.

You might need to vary a couple of factors.

1) increase distance of airbrush to model

2) use a smaller nozzle

3) thin the primer

4) lower the Psi

Changing any of the above should help. unfortunately there are no exact amounts .
