Al,

I can't get that to pull up on my end - I don't see a thread on Planet Figure about this. What happened?

Hopefully they’re able to find out who did this.

I just don’t see what these people get out of doing things like this.

Surely since Gettysburg is a National Park, they will be charged in Federal Court instead of a local vandalism charge. Even if the local police have no leads today, it never fails, the idiots will brag to a friend, and alas they will be caught.

Good people die every day of suffication......and these peckerwoods are running around wasting air.
Sad part is they're probably 13,14 year olds. If they get caught they'll get a slap on the wrists and sent home to mommy and daddy.

What a stupid, worthless thing to do!
Hope they find the guys who did this soon!

Near my place some idiots scratched swastika's on a war monument (Buffalo amphib). I emailed the local authorities / cityhall of that city about it, but got no responce from them.
What really bugs me is that when veterans visit that place and see the swastika's, perhaps thinking it was all for nothing...

Hi guys

It goes without saying that I share the feelings we all have about this crime and those people who did it. The really sad part is, that those who did it have no idea what they have done. Hermon is right, They are more than likly 13 - 14 years old kids who have never been taught anything about respect. They probably have no idea what went on at those fields, or why it is so important. I don't blame the kids for what they don't know, I blame the parents for not teaching them.

I'm sure the perpetruers are much older than 14. I'ld go with 18 to 20 year olds. I read the threads and it had to be done quickly as someone noted he had passed by the monuments (still intact) and the crime was reported an hour later. This sort of thing has been prevelent for a long long time. There have always been defacings of monuments, teenagers tipping gravestones, bashing mailboxes. This unfortuneatly is not a new phenomena nor will it disappear.
