I would like to know how many members here would be interested in obtaining decal sheets of gun trucks and other AFV's of the Vietnam war. I have a source to have them reproduced but only if he can find it feasible to do so in quantity. I have a lot of the art work and graphics for the different gun trucks and can get the items needed for M 113's, M48's etc. Let me know if you might have an interest in these.

Dave,
Count me in for at least 4 or more of whatever sets are produced. The Vietnam War is the only subject I model.

WalleyV

I would like to see Nam era M113 decals. They had some very gawdly painted Pappa Chucks that I would like to build. I'd be happy with them in 1/35 and 1/72 too.
The M48 as pictured in the original Tamiya kit shrunk down to 1/72 scale would be appreciated too.

The gun trucks will have the proper markings per truck along with the armor graphics. We would be starting with some of the more common 2 1/2 series gun trucks. This way it would make it easier for more to build one. WE would add the five ton variations a little at a time. This only depends on the popularity of them. I want to include some of the more colorful graphics that were found on some of the 113's as well.

I have the "Nancy" truck waiting in the wings but I'd lov eto do it up in the "Easy Rider" scheme and i have Legend's conversion waiting there, too. Decals would certainly be an encouragement to move it along. A good set fro the M42 Duster would get me restarted on that as well.

"Easy Rider" was based on a 5-ton Artillery truck though...
I think it would be nice Dave, as you mentioned, to start out with the Deuces and then moved into the 5-ton trucks. This would help modelers get the right decals for the correct class of gun truck.

Decals would be awesome! I'd love to do "Sopwith Camel" and "Bad Dream".
5 tons would be welcome too, "Brutus", "Snoopy", "Black Widow" and "Eve of Destruction" as well as the 5 ton/M113 combos "King Cobra" and "King Kong".
What about armored M151s like "Lil Brutus" and some of the V-100s?
What an exciting proposition, count me in for whatever sets you come up with.

Dave,
GREAT IDEA!!!! Count me in. I would deffinately purchase a few sets of decals if there were some available. A few V-100 and M706's from Squadron's Armor in Nam would foot the bill Nicely.

The responses look good guys. I got an e-mail from the company that makes the decals and a he is showing more interest in making decals. We would most likely make a combo sheet for the M48's and 113's to start and a couple of complete sheets for a few 2 1/2 ton gun trucks. This way we could make some variations of the AFV Club kits. I hope to have some conversion kits for the armor plating to use with the AFV Kits. Either the Nancy base kit or the M35A2 kit as well. WE had both versions of this truck saw service in Nam.

Hey Dave , Count me in , always interested in decals . There is not much variety out there except what comes in kits . Always need bumper codes and hood numbers for more trucks . Doing decals like the Nancy truck format with all the little details and maybe gauges would be excellent .
