Has anyone seen The Great Raid with Benjamin Bratt?
Was considering picking it up.

Haven't seen the movie, but the History Channel did a show on the raid, and I was watching one of those cheap DVDs I picked up called "Destination Tokyo" and it covered the raid. (it was a documentary done right after the war)
Missed the movie, since it wasn't in the local large screen for a week......

My wife picked it up for me for Christmas. It is a pretty good movie. Most of the good action was at the end during the raid itself.

Not the worst of war movies, Mojo. Kinda lacks the drama, cinematography and acting of the truly great war movies, but still worth seeing.

It was watchable. glad I didn't pay $18 at the movies though....

The whole love story bit annoys me - just let us boys have our damn war movies!!! :-)

I watched it and felt a little bit let down, although it was not awful. It seemed almost like a love story set in WWII, not WWII with a bit of a love story.

I watched the movie and it was worth watching. Every scene and sequence stayed faithful to the accounts written about that raid.

The only downside is some of the characters names have been altered.
