Hi
I am fairly new to military modelling as such, but I do have experience in wargaming ( if that counts as experience at all ) and building tanks for it. I would like too however take my modelling further, as you experts do. I think a modelling book for me would be a really good idea, however I do not know which one to choose from. I found one on amazon called Panzer Modelling by Tony Greenland. It seems okay, but I was wondering if anyone has any other books to recommend for a person like me?
Thank you in advance

Hi Kloss,

A book that I bought about a year ago is Military vehicle Modelling by Phil Greenwood. It is well written and contains all the elements you would expect from a book of this title. It would appeal to new modellers rather than those who have a wealth of experience.

The various chapters talk about things such as Tools, Models, building, painting and weathering. There are plenty of descriptions of builds on a wide variety of subjects. I bought mine from Amazon.

I hope this information will help you.

Regards

Mark

Thanks for the info. I might purchase both of the books if I have the cash . Lastly when I make my models in 1/72, how much should I assemble before I paint it or what process should I do with building and painting?
Cheers
Kloss
