My apologies to Jim Rae and Mal Mayfield..but Pittsburghs' Going to the SuperBowl!!!!!!!!!! So, just this once.

There once was a QB named Plummer,

His Playoff performance? A bummer.

His team won't advance,

and as he was changing his pants,

the Repo man drove off in his Hummer.

More Chardonnay, please.
Hell YEAH, Detroit Rock City You're NEXT!

I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard.

Anyway, I think I'll go cry

Howdy James,

Very nice limerick ya got there... Residing in Colorado makes me a natural Bronco's fan {helps me avoid potential injury when jawing with other construction workers at the local Home Depot } so I was rooting for the home team in yesterday's game. But alas, instead of this years agressive Bronco team showing up for the game, we instead had the 'old' Bronco's arrive on the field...you know, the one's who always seemed to choke at the end of the year

Anyways, the simple fact is, the Steeler's came to the game WANTING to win, and they did. They deserve to go to the the Super Bowl !!
And my prediction is that they will win it {my apologies to our Washington state members}

Good luck to 'em

Gee Shaun, I thought Einstein was explaining the Manning Principle? How many rings does Manning have now?

Yes, the Broncos got their hats handed to them, but so did the Bengals and Colts so we're in good company.

Oh, and James, plummer collected his big roster bonus, like 8 million, at the begging of the year. I don't think he has to worry about the repo man. Plus I understand he now drives some Honda hybrid. More in line with his Mountain Man looks.

I do agree that the Steelers wanted it more. They played with a big chip on their shoulders, and they did great. I fully expect them to be World Champions in two weeks, but then again Seattle was supposed to lose also.

Rodger,

How many rings does Peyton have? None. How many does he deserve, none...
I wasn't trying to bust on Plummer. I just thought he might show up, just like Manning always manages to do in the playoffs.

No offense or for that matter defense intended,

Shaun

It is almost NASCAR season here.

It's going to be a great game. Two underdog teams that weren't given a chance trying to prove all their critics wrong. It won't even matter that it's in cruddy old Detroit.

Everyone knows no other country can even hold a light to the US in football. A lot of countries play that watered down game of soccer, or what some believe to be football.

Hey Shaun

Ya know, growing up in Indiana I was such a football fan (and the whole family for that matter) I didn't really find out about basketball until I was a teen. :-)

At least Artest is out of the Indiana sports news!

Football as you know it would be called rugby in the rest of the world, but we don't wear comedy suits and we play a half in one go. Save for the occasional paga and eye gouging.. :-) :-)

No offence..

Are you trying to insult the rest of the known world?! (ie. outside of your United States...:-) :-) )
American football is what it is- American football. Football(soccer) is what it is- The world game...
