The demo for the newest Star Wars game, Empire at War, is avaiable for download today at noon, eastern time. In case you haven't heard of it, EAW is a new strategy game set in the Star Wars universe (old trilogy). It's got game mechanics to manage ground battles, and orbital battles. Time will tell if it improves upon Galactic Battlegrounds or is worse than the hated Force Commander.

Downloaded this the other day, haven't had a LOT of time to play around with it but the short time I did I'm liking it so far. Not a huge RTS fan as they usually end up being a clickfest but this one is pretty smooth so far.
