This may seem an odd request but if anyone has any black plastic sprue left over from a kit, could I have it? I don't know if this has any use in other areas of modelling but I use it for rigging 1:700 scale ships when it is stretched. Ships don't come in black so it would mean buying a kit I would never build to get some. If anyone could let me have some I will send you an SAE (will need to be in the UK), to cover postage.
My email is [email protected] if you could contact me direct, hope somebody can help!

Hi Rei.
The problem with painting is that it about doubles the thickness so if you want it really fine then it is best to have the sprue in the colour you want it in in the first place. Might seem picky but I mainly build destroyers and in 1:700 scale it does make a difference on a small ship.
