I was wondering if the post edit function can be altered to include the editing of the title and not just the main text.

for example my post in the scratchbuilding forum on my CMP cab 11 truck. I accidentally called it a cab 12 in the title and cannot change it myself because the edit function only does the main bulk of the post and not the title.

Could a moderater correct the spelling mistake for me please.

Title should read "CMP 11 cab" and not "CMP 12 cab"

cheers

Dave (Animal) tells me he does not have the admin function to change the title so who does have the ability to change a simple spelling mistake in a title?

Cheers

Any (in this case) Armor Mod should have the ability to "correct" the title.... I can do it in Gen Mod & Tools......

Animal managed to find the right buttons and has corrected the title but it would still be nice if the poster could do this themselves with the edit button.

Thanks and Cheers

It's a good idea and one that I have considered in the past. I guess the only reason I haven't enacted it is that I wouldn't want people to misuse the power.

Perhaps making updates possible within the first few hours of posting the thread might work?

Jim I never thought of Folk misusing the power but then again why would someone misuse it on their own post?

But I know I am not the first one to have posted a topic and then realised I had made a mistake and needed to change it.

Thanks for your help Jim

Cheers
