They were standardized and I understood your question quite well thanks.
I suggest you either make your own template or buy a PE one and copy that as there is no commercial, over the shelf template for them.
Cheers

Luke
Get oneself to a model railroad shop or the like. They often stock thin brass strips, in varying widths, and these come in handy for making loooaaaads of stuff... they are about 12" long each.
Cheers

The way I made mine was to use a good jerry can and piece of paper. I lightly traced the shape that Tamiya used on thier 1/2 track cans on the paper. Then I resized it to fit the correct can. I had to play with the size a bit (couple of tries).... Then I transfered it to sheet styrene or foil.

I find that if I need to scracthbuild them:
1. I put some masking tape on the chosen can.
2. draw my outline.
3. remove tape, and place on sheet of either thin brass shim stock, or .005 plastic card, and cut out.
4. bottom is just a tracing of bottom of said can.
not really hard to do ....
Luke... young man you need to learn to phrase your questions so others can under stand them better. The more information you give in the question will help get you an answer. A little politeness helps also.....
