Ok please hold your laughter till the end. Tonight I was scratch building a bridge using Jet Super Thin CA glue. Yeah you guessed I have the glue all over my fingers. Althought they aren't stuck together haha. How do I get this crap off my fingers. At the moment I am scraping it off with my hobby knife. It's working but taking layers of dead skin off my finger. It really sucks. Now you can laugh.......

Thanks,
Ryan aka Sticky fingers

Belt Sander? Seriously... I believe there is a product specifically designed for this. I would ask at your local hardware store. For some reason, finger nail polish remover is coming to mind....not sure why, but it is. Good luck. Been there. Done that. Got the shirt, shoes, socks and matching tie as well..."Q"

Let the glue dry. Your body oils and dead skin cells will pretty quickly slough this off. Acetone based nail polish remover will speed up the process.
I would not use a hobby knife unless you plan on pouring on a lot of superglue to stem the bleeding when (not if) you shave off several layers of living skin.

Why it's ringing a bell is because Nail polish remover contains Acetone and that is also what the hardware store will suggest.

Turpintine will help is you have some of that on hand.
You'll just have to scrub it in to the skin....

Trust us no one's laughing.

P.S. Don't ever scratch or model in the nude......Trust me!

Whenever this happened to me,I would use an emery board and sand it off(very lightly of coarse.)Never occurred to me to use nail polish remover.

Some nail polish remover (acetone) and go to bed.

IT WILL COME OFF!

Almost "EVERYTHING" comes off skin eventually... Normally within days... Incredible stuff "skin" better than Teflon 'cos Teflon can't "self heal", whereas "skin" can ...

Believe me... :-) :-)

Panic not, there's not much that will stick to "skin" for long. (The "skin" detaches and falls off.... "Skin" is incredible stuff.

btw, did you know that "skin" is the largest organ in the human body?

Fascinating stuff!

getting it off your skin is easy...
i presume your keyboard has CA all over it now, with you attempting to type with your fingers still full of it. now that is much harder to clean up... :-)

Not in my case

Anyway, that's the reason I've bought one tube of thin CA and only one tube. The stuff flows everywhere. And I definitely recommend letting it work its way off on its own, as suggested earlier.

So follow the recommendations on this site! CS glue is great stuff, so is cyanide. Each used as recomended is equally excellent if you do as recommended, and use the stuff as it should be used with the correct, recommended application.

I was thinking same thing myself. :-)

It also reminds me of an episode of Trailer Park Boys where Ricky glues a model truck to his face. Bubbles then goes on to explain about the time he accidently glued a B-17 bomber wing to his "bird" by accident. However since I doubt anyone in here has ever seen this classic Canadian TV show the meaning will be lost on you.

Yep good ole nail polish remover will do the trick.

LOL!!! That episode was the best! Later on, ricky gets a bleeding nose, and gets a rag to stop the bleeding only to have the rag also super-glued to his nose. I believe that was the episode with Conky the doll, no? I also believe that the truck was glued to his right hand, I think.

LOL Well glad to see that someone knows of the show.

You are right it was the Conky episode. (probably the most messed up episode of them all if thats possible) And yes he did have the rag glued to his face and the truck was glued to his hand.

I still love the line after Bubbles explains the B-17 mishap. "Thats why I was walking funny for a couple weeks. I had a wing on my bird!" LOL..I still crack up thinking of it.

My fav show without a doubt.

I know trailer park boys too, just brilliant! They currently show it on Thursdays on channel four in Finland. I haven't seen that particular episode, though.
