A couple months ago, many of you gave me a great deal of support when we lost our Jessie. We got a new member of the family in November. She has settled in with us nicely, having come from Arkansas.
Introducing Dixie.

That's Augustus, aka Gus, behind her under the tree.

Hi Al

He's a cutie. Dave's right that face does have character. How well does he get along with Gus ?

Dogs can be so rewarding, and you and Judy are wonderfull to your animals so I'm sure that they share the same opinion about you.

A fantastic addition to any family. He looks quite content and happy. I don't know what I would do without my two "kids".

She gets along very well with Gus, as well as Abby, the 20+ pound cat and Benny, the Bichon. Gus keeps to himself in the evenings, but it's quite common for Benny to be at my rioght hip, Abby acroos my lap, Dixie curled or stretched on the middle panel on SWMBO on the on the other end. Dixie's heritage is completely unknown. She was picked up as a stray and was scheduled for the big sleep when rescued. The woman who runs the rescue organization, in Little Rock, thought she was a good part Wheaton and our vet thought Cairn. She's quite the low rider, in any case.
