Well i did it!!I went out today and got a new diggy camera!

I bought a Canon Rebel XT.It was a big buy for me but a worth while one as it is for my trip next year(Scotland and France).

It's going to be alot of reading (I hate manuals) before I get any good pics.As the camera I was using (a Canon A65) was easy to figure out,this one will take some work.

At least I won't have to pay to have crappy pics printed! :-)

As I start playing with it I'm sure I'll be asking help along the way.

Hey Jim!
I bought the same camera (EOS 350D in europe) 3 weeks ago . I think that you shouldn't have any problems getting the pictures right.
Manual is quite easy to understand and camera is easy to get around with I'm very happy with it so far. What lens do you have? the kit 18-55?

Yes I just have the 18-55 ,I'll see how this one works for now.I may look for a macro lens in the future.But we'll see.

G'day mate
good to hear youve got a digi cam now, i got one (well, my first decent one anyway) last year, macro and all that, very useful.
