I'm not one to usually air my grievances in public, prefering to seek a solution in an amicable way. But now I'm getting peeved off with Azimut, and need to vent...

As you may or may not be aware, I bought the Pannzer IV with Schmallturm at the recent Telford Modelshow. This was meant to include the barrel. When I got home the barrel was missing. Fair enough, these things happen, I e-mailed Azimut about it and they replied that they would sent me a barrel. No problem then.
This is nearly 5 weeks ago. At this stage I have no barrel, and have not received a reply to any of my e-mails enquiring as to the delay. Now there may be many reasons way there is a delay with the barrel, and as a reasonable and fairly patient person I would understand that. But to not even have the courtesy to acknowledge my e-mails... that really pi%%es me off. I hope that I may eventually receive a barrel, as untill that time the model sits finished sans barrel on the shelf.

Azimut kits are trying enough without this added hassle.

Thanks for listening, I feel a bit better now..

Cheers
Henk

Annoying isnt it,

Delays in actually sending the part out are understandable, but i have to agree its a poor reflection on a company if they dont reply to emails.

The only companies i have had to deal with concerning replacing missing parts are Resicast and Accurate Armour. Both replied to my email within 24 hours, and i had the replacement parts within a few days. I especially appreciated this from resicast, as they had to get the part twice as far.

I am always weary of the reputation of cottage industry manufacturers, especially if its my first time dealing with them. If i have a good experience with a company then i usually remain a loyal customer!

Oh well, if Azimut can't be bothered, neither can I.
I'll use the hull and suspension for another project, and will ditch the turret. If somebody wants a resin turret that needs either a lot of work or a new cuppola, drop me a line and I'll post it off to you.

Cheers
Henk
