All right, I've seen it all! ESPN analyst Sean Salisbury just said that RB Reggie Bush of USC has more talent than the top 5 players in the NFL :-) :-) :-) :-) :-). Is Sean out of his mind or what? I mean honestly what was Sean thinking? Am I wrong? Tell me whether you agree or disagree with Sean.

He's pretty good. I don't know about better than the top 5 NFL. I hope he can adjust to the NFL. Lots of Heisman winners can't cut it being the small fish in the pond

Ian

I think its way to soon to say how Reggie Bush stacks up to anyone in the NFL. First off as Alan pointed out not to many Heisman winners have had the same success once they get to the NFL.. Its a whole different leval of playing the game. Its alot faster, the guys are alot bigger, and better. Time will tell if Bush has what it takes to make a name for himself, but to compare him to the "top 5 players " now is like trying to say who will win next years super bowel.

Yes, Sean is out of his mind, and not just for this statement. He was a mediocre quarterback at the NFL level and I feel that sometimes as an analyst he makes these crazy statements just trying to draw attention to himself. Reggie Bush is a very talented college player, but he may not even be the most talented player on his own team, let alone the NFL and then to carry it a step further and say the top 5. That's really laughable :-)

Just my 2 cents,
Mike

He's lost it. Would you trade James, Tomlinson, or Alexander for this guy?

How many of these guys played in a pro bowl?
2004 Matt Leinart Southern California QB
2003 Jason White Oklahoma QB
2002 Carson Palmer Southern California QB
2001 Eric Crouch Nebraska QB
2000 Chris Weinke Florida State QB
1999 Ron Dayne Wisconsin RB
1998 Ricky Williams Texas RB
1997 Charles Woodson Michigan DB/WR
1996 Danny Wuerffel Florida QB
1995 Eddie George Ohio State RB
1994 Rashaan Salaam Colorado RB
1993 Charlie Ward Florida State QB
1992 Gino Torretta Miami QB

Not that I really care, but Eddie George went to 4 consecutive Pro-Bowls, Ricky Williams went to 1, & Charles Woodson has been to 4 as well...

As for Reggie Bush, only time will tell. ESPN has to have something to run into the ground don't they? :-)

Thanks Alex. I figured Woodson and George had been but did not really feel like Googling it. Rasta Williams sorta suprises me though...

Reggie is good and someday may be that good. But as an old friend of Sean I must remind everyone that he was a quarterback at USC. Any Bias? You decide
