Hi all

Well today we had a new addition to our family
Pam my wife had a Shih-Tzu for many yeras and he died three years ago.
I found a place that rescues dogs from puppy mills he is wonderful and his name is Paddy he is a year old on Monday.
I picked him up today Pam did not know just said we had to go and pick up some stuff for work.
You should have seen her face, i have always had big dogs Labs etc.
Tell you what with what Pam has been through this was better than any medication.
As i write this he is sat on her lap watching every move she makes ....need i say more.
Just thought i would share this moment
Cheers Chris

Chris, I'm so happy for you! Sally and I just adopted a salt and pepper Schnauzer named Holly a month or two ago, thanks to Aj, Lafleche. We've been so happy since. I too have had big dogs, I showed a Weimaraner for years, and she lived to 15. Just recently we had to put Kayla to rest because of natural health problems. We had a second Schnauzer named Baxter, an adorable white one. He was so depressed after Kayla's demise that we found it best to get him another dog to relate to. Holly was the answer. These dogs are both small and fit on the sofa to make snuggling more fun. I think you'll find a small dog perfect. They fit in your car better, they fit on the sofa better, they're easier to pick up and put on the bed, and being adopted, I think you'll find that the dog will be even love you more. Congrats and I pray that all works out for you. I'm really happy for you Chirs.

Pet therapy... Nothing better to warm the heart. Our Irish Wolfhound rescue has bonded with my wife in a way that can't be broken. I think I have been replaced. Congrats!

A new dog is the best medicine for loosing an older dog. That one looks cute. A friend of mine has two of those types of dogs and she says they make good slippers. They lay on her feet and it looks like she's wearing furry slippers.

What a bunch of cuties! I think that is the way to go. Adopting animals, there is too many out there that need homes.

Congradulations!!!!!!!!!!!
