Well, a few days ago a Federal post office was evacuated due to a "suspicious" package with my name on it. Turns out, I ordered a few rubber hand grenades from ebay for my reenacting. Well the guy I ordered em from didnt package them right and apparently the packaging was too thin. When it was being processed somebody felt a grenade in the package. Well, i found this out from a guy of the Federal Post office marshall. About 15 minutes into the conversation with this guy on the phone, my doorbell rings. 3 FBI agents want to "talk". Since they didnt have a search warrant, I wouldnt let them in. If they would have seen my SS gear, i would have been done for for sure. But after the building be evacuated, the bomb squad was called in to open my package which i had to give permission to open. Turns out, they were rubber and all was just a faul up. But may I say I was pooping clay (Thanks Pvt.Parts for the um should I say "interesting" way of saying [auto-censored]ting bricks). Now its funny to think about and im letting you guys know so yall can just make fun of me and how funny this really was.

Not as exciting as hand grenades but here is my brush with weapons and Secret Service Agents...

Several years ago I went up north hunting. I had my hunting knife and a bunch of shotgun shells still in my pocket when I went to my college class the next day. LIttle did I know they had cancelled class because VP Candidate Dan Quayle was going to be speaking in the auditorium. Being it might be a once in a lifetime experience to see a VP in person I decided to go to the open rally. As I entered I was patted down by the Secret Service. They touched the pocket with the knife and asked me to remove the object. I took out the wallet that was in the same pocket. Then he patted the pocket with the shotgun shells. He asked me to take out the object. I took out a couple of granola bars I had in there. He then waved me through. I eneded up sitting on the aisle and shook Dan Quayle's hand as he walked in. I was thinking how easy it was to beat the Secret Service.

A friend of mine who works at the Allied JHQ in Germany turned up at the gate one Monday morning and was subjected to a totally routine car search.

However, her hubby (HWMBO?) had been to the firing range the day before and on returing to the car had just slung what rounds he had left and the empty cartridges onto the boot and driven home, forgetting about them till his Wife arrived at work at JHQ the next morning....

I actually heard him talk with a really high falsetto voice for a couple of weeks till the swelling died down. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
