Howdy All,
Is anyone doing or has done (??) an ASLav? I'd like to get the Trum kit (another model for my stash) and build an ASLav.
I have some links to photos for reference.
Cheers

Hi Shane:-H
Aussie Armour and Mouse house have got plans for some different conversions for the ASLAV. They should be out by mid next year. I noticed on the main stream section for AFV that their have been a couple of problems with the trumpeter LAV. Bit of a pitty as i was looking forward to getting a couple of these.
Thanks
Andrew

Tanx for the heads up Andrew. I'll pop on over to AFV and check out the issues. I look forward to the conversions from some Aussie producers.

Top link Jason. Tanx for the info. My biggest problem is working out which kit to build first. I might make my AsLav a long term build.

Hi guys,
I've just come across this site and saw your question about the Trumpeter LAV.
I'm currently building a Type 1 ASLAV based on the Trumpeter kit and thought you might like to see a in progress shot?
Don't be too concerned about the nitpicking on the AFV site, this kit provides a fairly good base to build an ASLAV from.
There are obviously a few mods to be done...after all the kit is based on the US LAV, same as the Ex US Marines we trialed in the early 90's.
All the white on the photo are the areas I've modified and cast in resin.(couldn't wait for Mouse House).
Please excuse the quality of the photo, I was in a bit of a hurry....
I,m into building AFV's and my bent at the moment is building one of each variant of ASLAVs.
Look forward to many discussions in the future.
Cheers

Mods look good Brett. Would you mind making a list of the mods you made for my future reference? I've got my ASLav project about number three after a Tiger and Flak 88. Looking forward to building this one as another uniquely Aussie variant.
