I found it rather interesting that Decemebr 7, 1941 went by totally unmentioned in the forums. Has this day fallen victim to the P.C. crowd also..... ????

I remembered what day it was, I just never got around to posting. I am kind of wondering how no one else could of picked that up to.

It did appear in the news sidebar on the homepage.

No mention of the Japanese invasion of Malaya though, and that started before the Pearl Harbor attack.

I'm afraid so sir... the CareBear mentality will only hurt the heritage of both countries rather to understand and learn from the past.

While at work yesterday I was amazed how my younger co-workers have no idea about what had happened on this day or where Pearl Harbor is located. Instead they go on about what kind of XBox or iPod they will be receiving this holiday.

To me, they are the true victims that has fallen to political correctness.

I don't find the need to post such things here, as I would like to think most everyone to be well aware of it. One of the local news channels did a 2 minute blurb on it at the 5 o'clock news. They even had a statement from a survivor / vet on it. So at least here in Dallas it was not forgotten

I was in Newport Delaware working and my Boss and i went and stood with a small group who were with some vets remembering that day was nice to meet the small number of vets who had braved the cold, there again i dont see how anything would have stopped them.
Iam sure some of the people walking past did not even know what was going on
Cheers Chris
