Hi folks, not sure were this should go but wtv.
A few houses down my street, A guy's place got robbed a month ago. Yesterday, i recieve a paper saying my order from luckymodel has arived and is waiting for me at the post office a few minutes away from my house because i wasn't there when the mailman passed(to my knowledge most people are at work or school at noon time right?)

Well what do these two thing have in comon? Here it goes. How easy would it be for someone to pick up that letter, show up at the post office and claim a package? I was never asked for id's, and even had my mother pick up a package for me twice. Im not sure how the post works in the state but this has me worrying.

I might as well hang 400$ on my door nob right?its basicly what post canada is doing.
Any comments?

Francois

Tell your post office to start asking for ID.I got asked all the time picking up sfuff. Now they know me and I only get asked buy someone if they are new.

If I'm not mistaken they are requierd to ask for ID.If they still don't call Postal Canada and tell them.As for them giving it to your mother,as long as the ID shows the same address thats OK.

Well, i dont even get a letter. They just set my package behind a post (somewhat concealing it) in my front yard. If someone wanted, they could follow the UPS or fedex guy to my doorstep, and after he leaves take my package. You have to insure your package before you order and they will send you a new item if you claim you havent received it. I have ordered over $2000 of stuff within the last few months. (i have been working on my german impression). but not one thing that ive ordered hasnt come. Knock on wood.
