The second last guy bid against himself and increased the price from $650 to $765 in 2 minutes. Why? I have never used this e-bay before and looks like I will not. having to compete agiainst kami-kazi bidders must be infuriating!

That's too much money, aren't you glad we only have to pay $250 for that model :-)
The reason it looks like he bid against himself is because he had put a maximum bid of over $765 and someone else placed a bid which his bid automatically outbid. It just doesn't show the other bid because it was never the high bid.
