That's right! I'm now "of age"! I can finally buy super glue and spray paint from Wal-Mart! My parents got me a nice O 27 gauge Freight Train, which I'm going to use at Christmas. I even decided to spread the cheer by baking and taking two Lemon Jello Cakes to my swim practice today, and let's just say that swimmers can put food away! I went with two cakes, and came home with 1/2 a cake! It's nice, being able to be available to vote and the draft and all. I can't wait to have some 18-year-old fun! Thanks for your time.

Hehe... I'm sure these are really the top of your to-buy list

Well MEBM, happy birthday! Use your time wisely while you in school cuz it's the greatest investment for your life.

Here's a birthday song for you:

One year older, one year wiser,
You're a rockin' roll star, king, tzar, and the kaiser.

A room full of friends, a mouth full of cake,
Every present is for you and it feels really great!

You're the man of the hour, the V.I.P.
you get the first slice... of the P.I.E.

First blow out the candles, and make a wish,
put your smile on, cuz it's your birthday bitc...

~MC Chris

Dude I remember those times! I am only 19 but it still seems like a long time ago. I remember that I did a lot of cool 18 year old stuff. Bought a pack of Camels, went to the Dirty shop in town with my friends. It was cool because we all turned 18 in the same week of August. So as soon as the last guy turned we did all of this stuff.

Congrats! Another thing you can look forward to is taxes! :-)

Congrats! A bit of advice though! All that stuff that your parents and teachers told you about being an "adult" is completely true! You are now responsible for yourself and you have to do what is best for you and your FUTURE!

Are you kidding, or do they really ask your ID's when buying super glue or spray paints in wal-mart?
I know that some stores in Finland don't sell spray paints for people under the age of 18, but super glue, that's new to me.

Happy Birthday MEMB. Yeah, you can buy White-Out @ Wal Mart now, too.

(For those of you that don't know, so many kids are "huffing" everything with fumes in this country 'til their brains run out of their ears, the scanners at Wal Mart automatically ask the cashier to ask for ID when they but certain products. I am 41 and was "carded" two weeks ago buying White Out.)

Thats another thing, whats the differance if I am underage and huff paint, or if I am an adult and huff. I still have a problem.

For the record I don't huff paint.

Just cement! :-) :-) #:-)

My young friend, let me share with lyrics I grew up on. I remeber 18 quite well, even after all this time. Last Sunday, I got to hear this live by one of my musical heroes, Tom Rush.

The C I R C L E G A M E

by Joni Mitchell

Yesterday, a child came out to wonder:
Caught a dragonfly inside a jar,
Fearful when the sky was full of thunder,
And tearful at the falling of a star.

Then the child moved ten times round the seasons,
Skated over ten clear frozen streams,
Words like "When you're older" must appease him
And promises of "Someday" make his dreams.

And the seasons, they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down:
We're captive on the carousel of time.
We can't return; we can only look behind
From where we came,
And go round and round and round
In the circle game.

Sixteen springs and sixteen summers gone now
Cartwheels turn to car wheels through the town
And they tell him,
"Take your time, it won't be long now
Till you drag your feet to slow the circles down."

And the seasons they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down:
We're captive on the carousel of time.
We can't return; we can only look behind
From where we came
And go round and round and round
In the circle game.

So the years spin by and now the child is twenty
Though his dreams have lost some grandeur coming true
There'll be new dreams, maybe better dreams and plenty
Before the last revolving year is through.

And the seasons they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down;
We're captive on the carousel of time,
We can't return, we can only look behind
From where we came
And go round and round and round
In the circle game.
