I’m a member of a local sportsmen club that has ground open to the public to hunt on.

Well today was the 2nd of 3 days of bear season and with the club having a massive bear problem. Before Monday we had at least 12 bear up there getting in to garbage and killing off the fish we raise. so a lot of us got are bear licences and went up to try and kill them off.

Well I was up there with some of my buddies when 2 game wardens came up and ran us off the club ground telling us we couldn’t hunt there. Well I didn’t want to cause a problem with a goose in my game pocket so we went down to the clubhouse to find out what was going on.

Apparently the game wardens came and red tagged (prohibited hunting) on the entire club ground. Apparently someone was caught baiting bear on state land ABOVE the clubs ground.
Now We still have a bear problem and lost 1 1/2 days to fix it legally (We may still solve that problem) plus we cant hunt there for deer season coming in next Monday.

Now I have other places I can go for deer but some of the guys who go up there don’t. And a lot of them are club members who pay there dues to keep the ground open for hunting.

Now I’m already mad at the Pennsylvania Game Commission for things they’ve been doing but this really ticks me off.


Any way sorry for the rant but I just needed to blow off some steam.
