This is the Ausf D... took a bloody long time to finish and take photos of it, because of time constraints.

So, finally everything is done! I thoroughly enjoyed this build. Pardon me for my building and photography skills! Seems to get worst every minute.

:-)

Comments and criticisms most welcome!

Haha... doesn't matter how long it takes... as long as you're happy with your results.

Is it 1/72?? Dude.. I think you did a great job.. Nice painting & weathering (esp. the paint chips - what method did you use?).

I still think you should place it on a base... heh... maybe a simple sandy ground or something..

Anyway... thanks for sharing.

1/72 or 1/35? If 1/35 it's good job well done, but if 1/72, it's a terrific job!

Hi guys,

thanks for the comments!

It's 1/35...It's the very first DML's 3-in-1 kit...

JM, for the chippings, i just used a combo of paintbrush and sharpened toothpick.

I sprayed on base and camouflage, then i use a combo of the items mentioned and paint! After that, i sprayed a very diluted base colour (Dark yellow) over the whole model.

Then i started the streaks.

Hey... Hey... Danny,

The Sdkfz 251 is my favourite German AFV and I think you have done a very good job.

May I ask what colour were used to paint the wheels? I have use flat black but at the end, think that the wheels are to dark in colour and not realistically represented (even with pastels applied)...

That why I have lots of Armour and AFV done up to the hull less the wheels.

Please advice.

Hi SK,

To depict worn tyres, i used Tamiya German Grey. It's a great and useful colour! I also used it for chippings.

Thanks. I have try Tamiya Dark Gray on my Kubel but thinks that its too light.

I will try it on my old Tamiya Pzkpfw IV Ausf D and try out the results.

Thanks. Enjoy.

Thanks Dan,

Btw, if any of you guys intend to get this kit. Be sure to glue the tracks properly as 'strategic' glueing can enable the tracks to be workable! which is easier to fix it up to the wheels.
