Scale Model World has spurred me on to finish my KV2 in the hope that Mal will let me show it on the Armorama stand. All I had to do was put the tracks on and finish a couple of details. I started putting the tracks on and suddenly there seemed a fit problem. Attacking with a model knife and superglue it all started going horribly wrong, bits snapped off, ends didn't meet, I had to wire bits together, cut links out, then whop! I spill glue over my nice weathered finish. Tried to get it off with disengluer. The splotch got worse, gun barrels snapped off, brackets got bent and glued themselves rock hard in the wrong place. Aaaarrgghhhh!
Finally I realised that I'd put the tracks on the opposite side to where I'd initially assembled them so it doesn't sit right. Bits are now in the wrong place and a part of the otherwise okay paint job have a grotty repair on them.
Is this because I went to the model room without my customary alcoholic beverage?

Don't know about the alcoholic beverage Ross, I tend to keep alcohol and models apart...
.
But I know what you mean about deadline fever.. I'm trying to get the base for my Firefly finished, and have so much more to do..
I'm sorry to hear you have had so much bad luck with your KV, can you cover the damage with stowage or a camonet?
See you in Telford

I might just call it a day, put a bit of a wash on and hope. My main intention, if there's space, is to show the progress of someone who only got back in to modelling this year after a break of a couple of decades. I haven't any show winners but some people may like to see examples of the less experienced.

Exactly, I'll be taking some of my older models, those which normaly reside at the back of my display cabinet.
.Not that my later ones are show winners, they have just been finished with some more care. It's a good idea to show at the show that Armorama is for and by modelers of all ages and levels.
Cheers
