I saw in a recent visit to a the hobby shop that they was selling a bottle label Gunze Mr Surface. Just wondering what this Mr Surface is used for in modelling ?
Is it a liquid putty ? It sures look like a putty to me.
Any of you know what this is used for and is it good ?
Cheers...

It is a liquid putty and yes, it is excellent stuff. It's principal use (apart from gap-flling) is to add textue to cast-metal surfaces (tank turrets, mantlets etc,) Particularly useful for Soviet armor which ws considerably 'less' - engineerd than an Allied or German vehicle...Jim

Jim,
Thanks for the information. Some new questions :
1) How do you apply it to the tank if it is liquid ? Do you air-brush ? If yes, must I thin it with normal thinner and how much ? I hope this won't clogged by air brush
2) If I apply this, do I still need to prime the tank before I start to air brush it with my base coat ? I am using Tamiya primer now...just wondering if tghere will be any chemical reaction when I mixed those 2 together...
