...and Gals. My name is Mark, I'm a mechanical engineer here in the Seattle area. I've been in and out of IPMS over the years (in now). I usually build 1/72 US aricraft, but I like to stray out into armor and ships from time to time. Been building models since the mid-60's, seems like most of the old Aurora and Revell kits passed thru my hands before they died terrible deaths caused by firecrackers.
Stumbled onto the Big A while trying to find out about painting vinyl tank treads. Think I'll stay awhile.

Hey Mark -
Just around the corner from you out Issaquah way. Great to have another from the glorious "Evergreen" State. You'll soon find that you can't just hang around a while, there's just too much great stuff to get involved in and fantastic people to meet/share with. You mentioned you Verture occasionally into doing those "floaty things". I'll primarily an armor and diorama interest, but there is this great Campaign going on called "Dreadnoughts" for early to modern Battleships. Send me a PM and I'll fill you in on the deal going on with "Dreadnoughts". Several other great Campaigns (see the Forum for more info). Anyway, great to have with us and look forward to hearing more.

Thanks folks, I'm glad to be here. This site has answered tons of questions I had already. Fun stuff like painting tank treads and what the running gear on a Sherman really looks like. Now I have even fewer excuses to not finish the tanks in my stash.
