I am in Grand Rapids, and I belong to West Michigan Chapter of IPMS...Great group af guys and gals. They have taight me quite a bit in the last couple of years. Best thing I ever did was join a local club. Just wondering how many other Michigan modelers there are out there...since we have such a long modeling season up here.

I have learned a great deal since I joined. And also just seeing the models some of these folks bring to meetings is fantastic. We have several folks who have won at the national level with thier models. Everybody is willing to help...regardless of the question or technique. We also try to do a few seminar type meetings each year as well.

Hi, I am in the Kalamazoo area. Not a lot of action at the local club for figures. So I just stick to myself and paint figures.

I'm a bit late responding here, but I also live in Michigan. I am up in Houghton Lake, so I am not a member of a club, but I plan to get to some shows this year.

Oh, yeah! Essexville (east of Bay City) here. Near the water, where it's great and in a port town to boot! Exclusively warships especially the Royal Navy and European fleets, soon expanding into Pacific Theater. Been modeling since the early 1960's and just found out about this site.
