I read his article with great enthusiasm because I build lots of warships. The only question I have is what is the equivilent in the US to Poster Paints or is that something that is available at local art / hobby lobby stores? It is obviouly acrylic, would those be suitable substitutes?

Years ago it is what those lying salesmen use to use to paint the prices on the windshields of cars...... :-) :-)

I thought they were also called poster paints here..or am I that old? Any Walmart or the like will have them. They are alot cheaper than the paints most of us buy.

Outstanding. I've got a couple of BB's in 350 scale to build and look forward to having a more realistic deck. I did some dry brushing on my Bismarck that looks .................well...................adequate

Arent they also referred to as Tempera paints??

Yep, Tempura paints are poster paints. What's great is they sell 'em in BIG bottles so ya have enough for life.

Most poster paints are also non-toxic and washable But DO check... ) so it's great for the rugrats to 'join daddy' with a big piece of paper and some brushes...
