but really focused on german railguns, the room for the hobby is like a musseum of transportation

I am also interested in German armored trains. I am currently working on a project, but have a question. I am building an AA gun on a twin axle flatbed. I saw the picture in Werner Muller's, "German Flak in WWII". My question is, has anyone ever seen the combination of a Flak quad 20mm and a 150 cm searchlight 37 on the same railcar?

For anyone interested, there is a Spanish company named Baluard who makes resin German railroad engines and cars. I just finished a diesel engine, and purchased an Armored BR60 engine. They are not exactly an easy build, but look great when complete.

at the same railcar i think is not possible because the searchlight require the generator to supply the equipment and the batteries are formed of some railcars separated at the firing position, chained on traveling position

I am mighty glad to hear of your impressive rail-based plans mi amigo...especially your railcar plans

Your progress so far {on the Railguns} looks great. You're obviously making the folks over at Evergreen plastic very happy indeed. I have a question, from your supplied pictures it looks like your using {maybe} the Dragon kit trucks for your build?
If so, will these work for all of the Bruno's, including the Schwere?
Also, since you obviously have plans for these cars from Krupp, do you also have a source of plans for your future railcars?..?
If so, I would be VERY interested in talking to you.
BTW.....which german train do you have your eye on?.....Armoured Train No. 51?.......or maybe the BP 42/44?....?
Just curious..........reason being is I am also working on an armoured train project, but my focus is not German, but instead Russian, Polish, Czech, Japanese and even Chinese armoured trains....................

380 mm Siegfried German railgun






the boogies are based in dragon railcars... 2 leopolds to do a siegfried and a extreme surgery to the model to convert the boogies and all scratch to do the main box and turning lathe the main gun ( actualy in process too )

for the oldest railguns ( kurze and theodore bruno ) is needed a railtransport of trumpeteer to destroy and convert into the boogies

for lange and schwere bruno the leopold is good ( i use the dragon leopold its better considering the resistance needed to work in scratch because the trumpeteer is so thin ) just need a surgery to reduce the ammount of axes and make the right distance betwen the axes

i have plans for almost all the german railguns since 150 mm to 800 mm
some were hard to find and had the krupp legends on right base of the drawing.

i have the target to finish my collection in 2 more years, then will change to a schneellboot

next week i will upload the final pics of the siegfried railgun

I'm very impressed with your scratch building abillities and how do you find the time to do all of these large vehicles. I like scratch building but I do not have the time to do what I want to do. Always enjoy your in progress photos.

I allways make the scratch after 22:00 hrs when my wife is sleeping. and go to the bed betwen 24:00 to 1:00 hrs

as most of the scratch is at night i do it in a room where the noise of the dremel can be minimized

is necessary to have a lot of patience to dont decline in the beginning because the temptations are high because you almost dont see the advance when youare cutting pieces and dont assembling.

this week will finish my Siegfried for a local countest, and will upload pics

Gordon: to do the schwere bruno you will need to buy a leopold from dragon ( its better for the deep surgery than trumpeteer because is very thin all the pieces )
and scratch all the main box and turning lathe for main gun, xcellent plans and a lot of pics from books

the polish had very good kits of armoured trains ( i have a Ti3 locomotive from jadar ) in 1/35 and is very good resin. they have all the railcars to do the armoured polish trains

Don't tell me you are building Dora 80mm in 1/35

the dora in 1/35 is one of my actual projects,
a little model of 180 cms long, 30 widht and aprox 60 height ,will upload a pics in a new post

actually i have aprox an 75 to 80 % advance and must be finished til november 06 then i will


and when finish will have a new of another project like this as th k12 wilhelm will be to close the collection of german railguns

this is an advance in the family bruno 1/35:

kurze bruno is most advanced, then the theodore bruno and at least lange and schwere bruno

I am really awed by the beautiful set of Bruno guns you have built from scratch. Amazing!

I am used to scratch building models, but I only started my interest in railroad guns recently. Now I would very much like to build a model of the German Krupp K12, 21 cm gun, and it's ancestor, the Paris-gun 21 cm from WW 1. Is there any source of reasonably accurate drawings of these guns, and how could I get these?
