I had a good time at the show. I will agree with Carl, it was light on entries in most of the catagories. I was good to see a few faces I hadnt seen in a while. Some of the "old guard" IPMS/South Shore members were present, so it was good to socialize a bit. I did have to leave early, so I didnt get to see the awards given out.

Nordland AMPS was well represented as well:
John Grogan
Terry Kelly
Tom Masterson
Charlie Murphy
Jim Norian
and myself (Robert Burnside)

That last pic Carl posted is me

Cheers !!

Congrats JRock, you should start entering your Braille scale armor. I remember your Elefant was really nice. I think Alpen can hook you up with some nice Dragon armor.

I had a good time also. Thank you Mr. Lafleche for staying on top of things and making sure that I went. Its so easy to just say no, stay home, be a hermit and suffer alone. Its so nice to get out of the house and see some of the folks I've grown to love over the years all busy doing what they do at shows, shopping, chit chatting, sharing ideas and getting awards for their hard work. Heh, the awards, grown men including myself at times sitting there with their fingers crossed waiting for their chance to win an 8 dollar piece of recognition.
It was great fun meeting some of the guys from the Big A as well. By the end of the day the pain was so bad I could barely walk, I had to take several breaks and sit in the car. But it was all so very worth it.

Ohhhh! And to my surprize, I purchased the World Expo 2005 book and low and behold, MY photograph was in there THREE times. Yes, 3 times! They misspelled my name in the awards listing, but I know BOLARO is close to Boilard :-) :-)

The BMP got 2nd place. I got honorable mention for best Russian armor, along with Matt Toms, and Bill Schmidt won that one for his T-34/122.
