Last month at a model show a vendor had these safety glasses for sale. They looked pretty much like regular safety glasses, except they had bi-focal type magnifier lenses. I should have picked a pair up, but of course I didn't. Now I can't find them. Anybody seen these anywhere?
I thought it was very cool idea. They were much handier than an optivisor or something like that.

If they looked like this:

I picked mine up at a fly fishing supply shop.
They come with the blank type frame if you don't wear glasses, or can be removed from the frame, and slipped over the frame of your normal glasses.
They are pretty good, as you don't get tunnel vision.... :-) :-)

Dave ,
I cannot see you setting any fashion statements wearing these . Please don't wear them outside . I wouldn't like you making a spectacle of yourself

My EYES, MY EYES! :-) With THAT image in my head I'll really need new glasses.
No, those aren't what I saw. These looked just like the type of safety glasses that you'd wear while mowing the lawn, or woodworking. They look like oversize glasses with clear plastic frames. The only difference is the bi-focal lens for magnification. You could look over that lens for just a clear view of the work area, or look down through the magnifier lens for close up work.
I really should have gotten them while I had the chance. If I can find them I'll post a picture of them.

Yes, that's similar. Here is one I found online also.

Yours look more "sexy", maybe that's more Dave's style?
