Howdy all. After seeing Gino's (Heavyarty) starship I got inspired. I'm looking for either the Revell or Esci M60A3 kit and the Tamiya M60A2 kit. Might be willing to trade if there is something that you are looking for in particular. Thanks. "Q"

Don't limit yourself to those two kits. The only difference between the Esci/AMT/Italeri M60A1 and Blazer kits that would concern you are the top loading air cleaner parts. The A1s kits came with the side loading ones and the A3 came with top loading ones.

Scratchbuilding the new style from the old style would be relatively easy.

The old Esci Blazer kits go for chump change on eBay.

How does the Tamiya A3 stack up in the mix? I recall Gino saying there were some issues. I found several of the A1, A3 and Blazer kits on Ebay. Some of the owners must be very proud of the kits for what they are asking :-) Thanks. "Q"

The Tamiya M60A3 upper hull was redone with some success, but the lower hull is still the same nasty 1970s hull. All they did was replace the old tracks with the Sgt York tracks. The turret was nicely done.

Details for the upper hull included new top loading air cleaners.

The Tamiya USMC M60A1 is the same kit as the M60A3 with new armor and road wheels.

A quick search of eBay shows some of the kits you are looking for at around $10 + shipping. Two A2s for $10, two Esci/Italeri A1s for $10 and one for $7.

Matt,
Check here, with Frank LeMay. I got both the M60A2 and Revell (Esci) M60A3 from him. He says he has at least 6 more of the Esci M60s and may have another M60A2. He did me a great deal on a trade as well. Great guy.

Good luck.
