After a PM from a fellow modeler about banners, it got me thinking (yes, there really is a first time for everything )...

Everything in my banner basically tells a bit about me...

The camo is the first camo used by SA, and is a derivative of East German splinter camo; the flag is the South African flag - my country of birth; the beach scene is from my late grandfather's beachhouse with a view of Cape Town's infamous Table Mountain and Table Bay, where I spent a lot of time growing up; the German head is that of my first campaign entry on Armorama; and the wedding picture is that of my wife and I.

So to get to the point.... Now you know the story behind my banner, what's the story behind yours?

Since I suck at making banners, I kept mine simple and just "borrowed" :-) the Tennessee from the University of Tennessee Athlectics website. I am 34 years old and have lived in Tennessee for 22 years. I love the University of Tennessee Volunteers college football team.

My banner is simply a reflection of my love for big British motorbikes and rock'n'roll.

Really, I just wanted something that showed both myslef symbolicly as well as my screenname.

The background is from a Dru Blair painting that I think looks really cool cropped. The name is just me fooling around with fonts using red, white, and blue as colors. I had a little help from a friend of mine who is a graphic design major who helped me in placement and photogenic/aesthetic value, plus my minor background in photography and imagery.

I was initially hesitant in using the USN emblem. I didn't quite like how it aesthetically looked in as well as my interests had changed. My original passion was Naval Aviation, but has evolved over time into modern US Army and Marine small-unit tactics and equipment, but my passion still exists so I kept it. I am thinking about changing it to reflect my change in taste.

I guess I'll chime in too.

Mine is almost explains itself:
The picture is of me while on a rotation to NTC, Ft. Irwin, back when I was active duty.

The patch on the left is of my last active duty unit, the 24th ID(MECH). Sargeant stripes to show my current rank, the Ordanance Corp Branch Insignia, and the patch on the right is of the 36th ID, Texas Army National Guard, my current patch.

Hi all!

The design of mine is obvious... it's a tribut to the Matchbox kits. Not that they were the best, but I build almost all of them when I was a kid... and played all days long with them!
The number represents the models I have currently in my collection. Basically the kits I have build since I returned to the hobby...
The plane represented is a Bugatti 100P I am currently scratchbuilding in 1/48 (that reminds me I have to work on it again!) and Kitbox.fr is my personnal website.

Sheesh, I have barely thought about mine in a couple years. YodaMan designed it when I was first getting into the site. It shows my favoite tank, the Abrams. RTWPSOM2 was my original screen name but people kept calling me Brother Abrams because I am Mormon and I kept spouting off about the Abrams, so I had Jim change it. CSM was the permanent rank I held for the longest time till it went away (on the site, not in real life).

The "Jeepney" is one of the most common forms of public transportation in the Philippines. It's that gaudy monstrosity in my banner. The "Jeepney" was also based on the Jeeps the GIs left behind after the war hence the B&W drawing of the Jeep. The flag is the Philippine flag. I'm also a member of the IPMS-Philippines Bert Anido Chapter so the clubs logo is on my banner too.

I guess I just ended up with soccer fever...
I am a Manchester Utd fan, and I just wanted to commemorate the greatest comeback I ever saw, in the Champions League game when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hammered home the winner and crushed Bayern.

Ola Guys

Well do I really need to say more? Well I`m not gay but I actually love the Panzer 1 and all the variants. Why I called it the "Love" tank is simply for the reason that it doesn`t match the idea you get with the Word Tank. When you hear the word tank you think of the huge Bohemoths like the Tigers, Panthers, Abrams and that sort of stuff. Compared to those beasts the Panzer 1 simply looks sweet.

My Banner changes every now and then before this banner I had the Incoming banner (Artillery Campaign) Therefor I had the Market Garden Campaign and There for I had a banner with my screenname and a background of my first finished project of when I came in here at Armorama

Mine is simple as well. I'm a firefighter who builds mostly German armor, throw in my screen name, and there you go.

Mine is in honor of my Uncle and personal hero. He recently passed away and I wanted to do something to honor him and all the brave men he served with to acknowledge their sacrifices and all they fought for. The center logo is the tail insignia on the B-24's of the of the 456th Bomb Group. The others are the 15th Air Force Patch and his unit patches, 456th Bomb Group, 745th Bomb Squadron.

I don't really have a theme. Just what seems fun to me. Like the banner that I have now represents Santana. His older work, from the late 60's to early 70's. Its what I'm into, what I listen to when I build. It depends on what I am into at the time. I like yours Tarok, it says so much about you in such a small space.

My banner was made by Flitzer, I love it because the barb wire trough my name is just cool :-)

Also the panther wqas my first real model, so I thoughrt it would be nice to have in a banner.
