This may be a dumb question but I’ve been looking at kits on Hobbylinc and in the “Requires” column I keep seeing Hot Rivet listed.
Just what the heck is a Hot Rivet and what do you do with it?

I know the Humvee Liberator by Hobby Craft listed one.

Jacob, my guess would be a soldering iron. I did a search of the hot rivet at Hobbylinc and thats what came up. I also thought that as much when I saw that the kit needed 2 AA Batteries.

Thanks Joe. That could be.
The kit has a motor in it so it could need some soldering. And now that I think of it I believe one of the other kits that listed it included copper parts.

IIRC this is when a pin is melted to join two parts, as in the old (before glueable) single run / old rubber tracks etc...
