Hi Folks

I picked up Robert Oehler's book "Modelling the SdKfz 251 Halftrack " from Osprey the other day, great book. I do have a question. In the book he mentions a thinner called "Turpenoid " That he uses with oils. Now at first I thought he ment turpentine, and that it was just a typing error. Its mentioned to many times to be a mistake. So if someone could help me out, what is Turpenoid ? Is this just a brand name, or is it a different product ?

Thanks in advance
Harry

Turpenoid is listed as an odorless turpentine. I use it for all of my washes. It works really good. I picked up a can at Michael's, but I am sure that Hobby Lobby also carries it.

I tried odoless turpentine some time ago. Good stuff except that the brand I used refused to work with metallic paints. With other humbroll paints it worked great, however.

Ain't that the truth! I used the green label and it turned my poor little Stuart into a sticky mess that didn't dry for months!
