Hey guys,
If you have not bought your copy of Band of Brothers, then you should go to your local Best buy store. I bought my box set [DVD] for only $69.95 with tax. I my opinon, it is a damn good movie for the price.

Did you get the standard 5 disc set or the special edition with 6 discs? It has interviews with the veterans on the last disc and a documentary on the making of the series.

I don't have a DVD player, so I have been renting the tapes one at a time from Blockbuster. I have enjoyed them immensely. I have seen major differences in the way war movies are made. Saving Private Ryan was lauded for being one of the most realistic war movies ever made. I watched it Saturday after watching the first six episodes of Band of Brothers, and I can see where the SPR screenplay had things added in for drama. I loved SPR when it came out, but BoB has turned it into just another war movie.

A critic said that a copy of BoB should be in every history classroom, I second that. If every student was required to watch this movie, maybe someday in the future we'd have a lot less war.

Dagger, what I meant was to burn you a copy of the complete 10 part series on VHS. All I would do is have you pay for the shipping. :-)

dagger,
where you talking to me? If so, I am scratchbuilding a Panzer IV H/J in 1/72nd. The model will be 80% scratchbuilt. That means that the entire interior will be scratchbuilt with a little bit of scratchbuilding on the exterior. So far, I have approximately 11 months of actual work into it so far. #:-) #:-)
