Hey all-
I currently have an assignment in one of my courses where I need to do research on OIF and, as part of that assignment, I need to interview an OIF veteran (either OIF1 or 2) that was involved in some kind of force-on-force combat (be it with Iraqi regulars or insurgents). If you would be interested, or know someone that would be, please post here or PM me and I can give you the full details of the project. Thanks.
Kyle

Hey again-
Guys, I really need help on this and I really wanted it to be from one of my Big-A brothers (or sisters) out there. The course I am doing this for is called War Stories. The class reads various poems and novels about major wars as written by the soldiers who were there. We then analyze those works for common themes and ideas (comraderie, etc).
For the project, we are tasked with only researching the Iraq War; no op-ed pieces, no politics, just a down-to-the-nitty-gritty report about the units involved, equipment used, operations, etc. I would post the questions but, unfortunately, I don't have those yet. However, they will probably be along the lines of "What is your name, rank, and unit?," "What is your job in the military?," "What would you say is the average rank, age, gender of your job?," "Where did you serve in Iraq?," "What major operations were you involved in?," "What was the goal of those operations?," and other questions along those lines.
If you don't feel comfortable with the questions being asked, you can either not answer that question or excuse yourself from the interview at any time. I will also send you a copy of the rough drafts and final report so you can edit anything out, if necessary. I can't emphasize enough the fact that this interview is only to get it straight from the horse's mouth, no media bias, no political spin.
I really appreciate those of you who did read this post and thank you for considering. Once again, if interested, please PM me or post here. Thanks again.

Sounds a bit like the Miranda rights Kyle!
Wish I could help you brother, but I missed out on both...

I was a lawyer for my high school's mock trial team so all of that legal jargon really rubbed off on me.
 Thanks anyways for posting though.
