Hi Gang...

I just have to share this. My wife got me a new camera!! I had the Sony Dcs-P92, but I thought the macro abilities weren't that great, but that was no reason for me to buy a new cam.
About two weeks ago, my wife told me she sold my camera...I was stunned. I said: "you did WHAT??"
Then she told me she bought me a new one.
And now it comes: She bought me the Nikon Coolpix 8700!
8 Megapix, and a 3cm Macro....everyting can be set by hand!

That's great news for you! I think your wife deserves flowers every day for one month at least! :-)8
I'm also fed up with my low end digital camera and want to buy a new one with better macro features... let me know if you Nikon is a good choice (I think it is!)

I think you will be very happy with your new camera. I got a Nikon D-100 and a Coolpix 5000 my self, and are very satisfied with both.
...And by the way, Anita must be the best wife ever!
